Player Story

An injury to India skipper MS Dhoni’s right thumb saw Naman Ojha included in the Test squad for the tour of Australia in 2014-15.

The wicketkeeper-batsman came in as a cover for back-up ‘keeper Wriddhiman Saha, but also had the potential to serve as an additional top-order batsman.

The Madhya Pradesh player produced a run of good scores for India A against Australia A in mid-2014 when he scored three consecutive centuries.

Ojha has one ODI cap to his name, against Sri Lanka in 2010.
