Nasir Jamshed’s talent with the bat was identified from an early age and the batsman made his first-class debut aged 15 in 2005 before being chosen to represent Pakistan’s under-19s.
The opening batsman broke into the one-day international team at the beginning of 2008 and earned 12 ODI caps over the next 18 months.
A two-and-a-half year absence from international cricket followed before Jamshed made a resounding return in 2012, scoring two centuries and two fifties that year, followed by another ton in early 2013.
He was a late inclusion in Pakistan's squad for the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup when he replaced an injured Mohammad Hafeez. At the time of his selection, he had played 45 ODIs and scored 1413 runs with three centuries and eight half-centuries.
