Bio

The ex-England international joined the Fury ahead of the 2011-12 season and brings a wealth of experience to the side.

Shaw retired from England duties in 2010 before moving to Perth after stints at Surrey and Nottinghamshire in her homeland.

Shaw played five Tests for England, and was a member of the squad that won the Ashes in 2008.

The fast bowler claimed 11 wickets with the red ball, including a best of 3/67.

Aside from the Ashes, Shaw also featured in England’s successful World T20 and World Cup campaigns in 2009.

Her efforts in the World Cup were nothing short of spectacular. Initially left out of the squad, Shaw replaced Jenny Gunn on the morning of the final against New Zealand. In a career best spell, Shaw claimed 4/34 to collect the Player of the Match Award.

In a 97 game career, Shaw picked up 76 international scalps. The quick had always been economical, and only went for 5.69 runs an over in T20’s.
