Bio

For the last few seasons Ryan Gibson has been one of the leading batsmen in the McDonald’s Sydney Grade competition.

He was the second-leading run-maker in the 2015-16 competition, making 1065 runs at 76.1 including back-to-back double centuries at the back end of the season.

Gibson played the majority of 2015-16 in the Toyota Futures League where he scored 308 runs at 44.00 with a top score of 92.

Gibson had been selected in the NSW Blues squad for the Matador BBQs One Day Cup at the start of 2015-16, but he was later left out when the Australian players were made available at the last minute.

The NSW batsman was selected in the CAXI squad for the Matador Cup in the following year, making a century on debut and finishing the tournament as the seventh-highest run scorer.

His performances in the limited-overs competition led to his first-class debut for NSW in their match against Western Australia.
