Flinders Island will never have a side in an Australian domestic competition, but at least it will have a representative in the Tasmanian squad.
Ryan Lees has already impressed many officials at the Tigers with dominant bowling displays in the Imparja Cup.
His form also saw him selected in the Indigenous talent squad, which would have been a massive honour for the 19 year old.
Having played the majority of his cricket for Launceston, Lees broke into the Tasmanian second XI for a few matches in 2012/13.
Just like fellow rookie Gabe Bell, he will have to work hard over the next few seasons if he wants to break into the main side.
