Leg-spinner Seekkuge Prasanna returned to the Sri Lanka one-day international team in mid-2014 following a six-month absence, after good performances for Sri Lanka A.
He broke into the Sri Lanka army team as a 21-year-old, and later came to the attention of national selectors after good performances for Sri Lanka A on a 2011 tour of England.
Prasanna’s good form on that tour, which included a six-wicket haul, was enough for him to be chosen for his international ODI debut against Australia in 2011.
The spinner has moved in and out of the ODI team since, but he has not made the same impact on the longer form of the game, with a solitary Test cap in 2011.
