Bio

Born in Sydney of Dutch heritage, fast-bowler Timm van der Gugten made his international debut for Netherlands just months after his maiden first-class match for NSW in 2011.

Having moved to Tasmania in 2012, he struggled to break into Sheffield Shield cricket but played a role for the Tigers in the Ryobi Cup.

He was one of the Netherlands’ best players at the 2014 World Twenty20 in Bangladesh, dismissing Ross Taylor, Brendon McCullum, Martin Guptill and JP Duminy, and also picking up the wicket of Eoin Morgan in the Dutch side’s shock win over England.
