Profile
Ben Cutting is a right-arm fast-medium bowler who has excelled at domestic level for the Queensland Bulls.
The tall 26-year-old has had a glittering first-class career for the Bulls, taking 119 wickets in 30 matches at an average of 24.77 since his debut in 2007.
Boasting career-best figures of 6-37 in the Sheffield Shield, Cutting also claimed 5-82 against New South Wales and took the prized scalps of Australian Test players Phil Jaques, Phillip Hughes and Simon Katich.
But it hasn’t been an easy road for Cutting, he’s suffered a number of injuries, including a side strain that forced him to miss the majority of the 2011 Sheffield Shield season while a back injury forced him to miss the Australia A tour of England in the same year.
A handy lower order batsman, Cutting averages 26.70 in first-class matches and even has a century to his name.
In the KFC T20 Big Bash League, Cutting took 13 wickets with best figures of 3-25 in the Big semi final.
