Guy Walker will be hoping his form for the under-19 national side translates to higher honours.
The 17 year old was one of the best bowlers in the four match series with New Zealand earlier in the year.
Three wickets in the three day match were followed up by five wickets in the 50 over series against the Black Caps.
The first change bowler snared 2/36 in game one, before destroying New Zealand’s top-order to seal the series. He claimed the first three wickets in game two, all caught by the wicketkeeper.
Clearly able to hit a good line and length, Walker will now have to work harder than ever if he wants a crack at the state side.
If he can stay injury free, while at the same time developing his game, Walker could be a force in the next few years.
