Nathan Rimmington has proven to be an astute buy for the Warriors after making the move from Queensland. His attacking style of bowling has produced plenty of wickets in all three forms of the game, while his late lusty hitting makes him a dangerous proposition in the final overs.

Debuting for the Bulls in the Pura Cup, Rimmington made little impact as Queensland was trounced by an innings and 40 runs by the Tigers.

Although his statistics are better than average, Rimmington has never been able to cement a spot in first-class cricket. Still, he boasts 49 wickets from his 19 caps, as well as a highest score of 102*.

The Western Australian paceman is renowned for constantly hitting a full length. His ability to bowl at the death in both 50 and 20 over cricket is a major weapon in his arsenal.

Rimmington made a name for himself in 2007 when he became the first bowler to take a hat-trick in a domestic T20 competition. Rimmington entertained the locals at the suburban Heritage Ground in Toowoomba with a spell of 5/27.

After removing Michael Di Venuto and Travis Birt early, Rimmington returned to mop up the Tasmanian side. He knocked over George Bailey, before dismissing Damien Wright and Luke Butterworth in consecutive deliveries.

After battling with injury throughout 2007, Rimmington returned to the Bulls to help them win the Ford Ranger Cup.  His 4/40 in the final proved the difference in a tight match that helped seal Queensland’s eighth domestic title.

In 2009, Rimmington became the first bowler to take hat-tricks in the two short forms of the game. After bowling Ashley Noffke, he then trapped Brett Dorey LBW, before having Michael Hogan caught behind.

More recently, Rimmington has been focusing his attention on the T20 arena, where his style of bowling is best suited. He currently plays for the Melbourne Renegades in the BBL, where he snared eight wickets in nine matches.
