Brett Lee proved he still has what it takes at the international level last season.
Lee was Australia’s premier fast bowler in limited overs cricket over the last 12 months, deadly swinging away the new ball and whooping back in swing with the old.
He was Australia’s leading wicket taker in the World Cup with 13 scalps in seven matches at 18.07.
Lee has been Australia’s limited overs spearhead since announcing his retirement from Test match cricket in February 2010.
In that time Lee has captured 25 wickets ODI wickets at 22.88 and contributed heavily for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 4th edition of the Indian Premier League.
Lee is part of one of the great Ashes moments, when he was famously consoled by Andrew Flintoff when Australia fell short of a famous victory at Edgbaston in 2005.
Only one Australian, Glenn McGrath, has taken more wickets in ODIs.
