Profile

One of the more high profile Australian female cricketers, largely due to her father Greg Healy and Uncle Ian Healy, both respected cricketers; Healy hasn’t let this halt her progress in becoming a feature in the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars team.

A skilled wicket-keeper, Healy has followed in the footsteps of her famous uncle Ian, who was also a keeper. She was called into the Aussie team for the 2010 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 after regular keeper Jodie Fields was forced out by injury, with Healy proving a useful replacement, guiding the team to a victory in the final over New Zealand.

With Fields’ return in this year’s World T20, Healy handed over the keepers gloves and took up an opening batter position where she combined nicely with Meg Lanning.

Healy has had a successful T20 career and at only 22 years old, she has plenty of time to fine-tune her skills.

Off the field, Healy is dating Aussie quick Mitchell Starc, and often takes to Twitter to tweet about their adventures. You can follow her @ahealy77
