Haynes made her international debut for the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars in the final ODI match against England at Lords , where she scored 26 off 45 balls, a knock that included four fours.
Shortly after this match, Haynes made her Test debut, where she joined captain Jodie Fields at the crease, with the team in a precarious position at 5-28. The pair put together a world record partnership of 228 to save the team from an embarrassing first innings. Heartbreakingly, Haynes was bowled for 98, narrowly missing out on a Test century on debut.
Since then, she has gone on to be a consistent performer for the side in all formats of the game.s. The all-rounder has a top score of 75* and best bowling figures of 3-10 in ODI matches, while she averages a touch shy of 15 with a strike rate of 93 in T20s. She also has career-best figures of 3-19 in T20s.
Originally from Victoria, Haynes moved her allegiances to NSW in 2011, helping her new side to victory in the Women’s National Cricket League Final, where she top scored with 156, against her former state. She has also recently been named vice-captain of the NSW Lend Lease Breakers for the 2012-13 season.
