Promising youngster Sarah Coyte was born in Camden, in Sydney’s west. Despite her age, she has established herself as an integral member of the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars line-up.
Coyte burst onto the national scene with 2-18 off four overs in her T20 debut for the national side in December 2010, playing a pivotal role in her side’s four-wicket victory.
A handy all-rounder, she bowls medium-pace swing and is also a valuable lower-order batsman. In her time in the national side Coyte has posted some impressive performances, with career-best ODI and T20 figures of of 4-39 and 4-5 respectively.
Coyte comes from impressive cricket pedigree – her twin brother Adam is a New South Wales U-19 representative, while her brother Scott is a former Australian U-19 representative.
Coyte has been a key contributor during her time with the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars, often opening the bowling with some tight early overs and backing up with very good fielding displays, covering the dangerous area of point.
