Sarah Coyte has been a key contributor during her time with the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars, often bowling some tight early overs and backing up with impressive fielding displays.
Coyte burst onto the national scene with 2-18 off four overs in her T20 debut for the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars in December 2010, playing a pivotal role in her side’s four-wicket victory over New Zealand.
A handy all-rounder, Coyte bowls medium-pace swing and is a valuable lower-order batter. In her time in the national side she has posted some impressive performances, including a Player of the Match effort in her side’s opening match of the ICC Women’s World Cup in India in 2013, a tournament which the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars went on to win.
Sarah Coyte comes from top-quality cricket pedigree, with her elder brother Scott having played for New South Wales and the Sydney Thunder, while her twin brother Adam has represented New South Wales and Australia at the Under-19 level and was part of Sydney Thunder’s squad in BBL|02.
