Melbourne-born Elliot debuted for Victoria back in the 2000-01season, before some impressive performances with the bat led her to make her international debut in 2005.
However, she struggled to make the position her own until 2010, which coincided with the change of her name from Sarah Edwards to Sarah Elliot after she married Rob Edward. Off the back of some impressive performances in the WNCL, she forced her way back Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars team, who she has now played one Test, 22 ODIs and 14 T20s for.
Elliot formed part of the winning 2010 World Twenty20 team and played in all but one match. The all-rounder finished 19 not out in the final against New Zealand in what was a crucial knock, with the Stars winning by three runs.
