The last time Sachin Tendulkar toured Australia he received standing ovations at every ground, with audiences paying tribute to his greatness on what was surely his final tour Down Under.

Four years later he is back and his record is even better. Now 38, Tendulkar holds a tank full of world marks that will probably never be beaten.

His current haul of 51 Test centuries in 181 games is 11 more than Jacques Kallis, his nearest rival on 40. With 14,965 runs entering the series, he is more than 2000 ahead of Rahul Dravid and Ricky Ponting.

He stands even further in front of his rivals in one-day internationals. This will be Tendulkar’s fifth Test tour of Australia and in 31 matches against them home and away he has 3151 runs and 11 hundreds at an average of more than 60. And he’s not finished yet.
