Virat Kohli is an aggressive batsman who played a key role in India’s 2011 World Cup victory over Sri Lanka. With India 2 for 31, Kohli helped steady the side with a calm 35, showing he could play measured innings as well as exciting ones.
In his first 64 ODIs he has four centuries, including 107 against England in the final match of their disappointing 2011 tour.
Kohli made his Test debut against the West Indies earlier that year and was unable to master the local fast bowling. His top score of 30 came in the third and final game and he was overlooked for the Tests in England.
