The Fury will be hoping Emma Biss maintains her strong form from the 2012/13 season. The medium-pacer had a solid campaign, and finished the year as one of the most economical bowlers in the squad.
Biss had a December to remember, with eight wickets from just three matches. She took 2/20 and 2/15 in T20 matches, before destroying South Australia with a career best 4/6 in the 50-over competition.
January saw her take one wicket from three matches against the ACT, but it was her frugal bowling that shone.
Biss was the victim of some brutal NSW batting, but still managed to snare 2/55 in a high-scoring match at Blacktown Oval.
She claimed 2/28 in the 3rd place play-off, but it wasn’t enough as Victoria snuck home by five wickets.
It would be good to see Biss handed the new ball, with the added swing likely to complement her accuracy.
