Nicole Bolton looms as one of the key players in the Fury squad after being a joint winner of the 2012/13 WNCL Player of the Year award. The left-handed batsman has been one of the most consistent performers over the years, and is primed to lead them deep in this year’s competition.
Bolton is poised to pass 1,000 career runs when she next comes out to bat. She currently sits on 999 from her 47 game career.
Her time with the Fury has been sandwiched by a four game stint in New Zealand playing for Otago.
Bolton made the most of her time, scoring 104 runs, including 79 against Wellington.
The left-hander has managed 895 runs for the Fury at an average of 22.94. She has managed two centuries in the 50-over game, highlighted by a career best 121.
After a mixed 2013, Bolton finished off the season with scores of 41 and 33 against Victoria and NSW.
Clearly capable of batting for long periods of time, Bolton could provide valuable support for the big hitters such as Suzie Bates.
