Piepa Cleary is set to join the full-time squad after several years coming through the junior ranks.
The 17 year old seamer has been a steady performer ever since joining the Australian under-18 Talent Camp as a 15 year old rookie.
Interestingly, Cleary is also an indoor cricket star, having represented the under-19 side at the World Series, before leading the under-16 side to victory in 2012.
As one of the younger members of the squad, Cleary will be hoping to learn as much as possible in the pre-season camp in a bid to add to her two T20 matches from last season.
Cleary grabbed one wicket on debut against South Australia, but didn’t get a chance to bowl when the sides faced off two days later.
