Ashes Selector: Pick your Australian Test XI

With two Tests remaining the Ashes are still up for grabs. Narrow down these 39 names into an Aussie XI that you think can beat England on their home turf

Pick your Australian XI for the fourth Ashes Test below

Marnus Labuschagne did an outstanding impersonation of Steve Smith after becoming Test cricket's first concussion substitution in the Lord's Test match - but Australia's best batter will be fully fit and available for the fourth Ashes Test match at Old Trafford on September 4.

It's created a conundrum for Australia's selectors. Smith is an automatic in, so who do you leave out?

And Mitchell Starc has been in sizzling form with seven wickets in the tour match against Derby after being left on the sidelines for three successive Test matches. But with Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and James Pattinson all performing so well, do you make a change?

Selecting the Australian men's Test team has never been an easy task. It's the toughest and most scrutinised job in Australian sport – and now it's yours.

With the series locked at 1-1 after some electric cricket over the past few weeks, one more Test win will see Australia retain the Ashes. That's something they've not managed to do since 2001 and they've not had a better chance to end 18 long years of hurt over the next few weeks.

Our Ashes Selector lets you pick from an extended squad of 39 Australian players, including the World Cup and Australia A squads as well as some players in the UK this winter with county cricket deals.

The selector lets you pick the XI in any way you see fit. The selector will provide suggestions – it will offer up the three wicketkeepers available when it comes to choosing your No.7, for example – but you can choose who bats where.

And when you've nailed the XI you believe will bring home the Ashes, be sure to share your team with your friends and followers on social media.
