The All Stars sides are voted on by all players with a CA, state and rookie contract. Players are unable to vote for members in their own squad.

Players are asked to pick their sides as if they were playing in a match (e.g. six batsmen, one wicketkeeper and four bowlers) and are also asked to nominate a captain.

The vice-captains in the All Stars teams are players who gained the second-most votes for captain and who also made the team on their own merit.

The 12th men were those who accumulated the most number of votes outside the 11 players selected.

The best players in women's domestic cricket this season were also announced, with Jess Jonassen and England international Heather Knight honoured.

Southern Stars allrounder Jonassen, who plays for the Konica Minolta Queensland Fire, was named the WNCL Player of the Year having garnered 17 votes, two more than Meg Lanning and Nicole Bolton.

Jonassen took 11 wickets in five matches at 13.36 and also hit two half-centuries with the bat, finishing with an average of just under 50.

Fry also officiated in the final of the Carlton Mid ODI Tri-Series and was sent to Sri Lanka to stand in the ODI series between England and Sri Lanka late last year.
