Perry back on top, Aussies sweep ODI rankings

Australian superstar Ellyse Perry is once again the world's leading one-day international allrounder in the latest rankings released by the ICC

Ellyse Perry is back on top of the ICC women's one-day international allrounder rankings after starring in the second ODI of their three-match series against England.

The 31-year-old scored a steady 64-ball 40 and took 3-12 in seven overs to win the player-of-the-match award in Melbourne.

The performance helped her move 47 rating points ahead of England's Nat Sciver to the No.1 spot.

Perry had conceded the position to Sciver after holding the top position for 1,535 days from July 2017 to September 2021 and has not been out of the top two in terms of all-rounders in ODI cricket since November 2014.

In the latest weekly update that takes in the first two matches of the Australia-England series, Australia batter Beth Mooney also made a significant gain.

Mooney's innings of 73 in the first ODI helped her into the top three of the ODI batter rankings for the first time in her six-year career.

She started the series in eighth place and is now in the top three in both ODI and T20I cricket. Mooney is placed second in T20Is, just two points behind India opener Shafali Verma.

Australia's Ashleigh Gardner moved three places up to 24th while teammate Tahlia McGrath, who won back-to-back player-of-the-series awards against India and England, rose six places to 41st.

Gardner also moved up two spots to sixth in the ODI allrounder rankings, while Perry also joined the top 10 bowling list in ninth position after climbing seven places.

Australia opener Alyssa Healy remains the top ranked batter on 742 rating points, four ahead of India's Mithali Raj.

Spinner Jess Jonassen also maintained her spot at the top of the ODI bowler rankings, while moving up two places to seventh in the allrounder rankings behind Perry and Gardner.
