England duo, Pakistan fined by the ICC

England pair fined for separate incidents; Pakistan ruled to be behind the over rate in match at Trent Bridge

England pair Jofra Archer and Jason Roy have been fined while the entire Pakistan team has also been sanctioned following their match at Trent Bridge on Monday.

Roy has been fined 15 per cent of his match fee after he was found guilty of uttering an audible obscenity when he mis-fielded during the 15th over of Pakistan's innings.

Roy had a disappointing day in the field for England, dropping a catch offered by Mohammad Hafeez and also fumbling a ball that could have created a run-out opportunity. The damaging opener then made eight runs with the bat as the host nation lost by 14 runs.

Archer has also copped a 15 per cent fine after being found guilty of showing "obvious dissent" at an umpire's wide call in the 28th over of Pakistan's innings.

Pakistan reverse form to stun England

Both Roy and Archer have also had one demerit point added to their records.

All eleven Pakistan players are also lighter in the wallet after they were found to be behind the over rate in their stunning upset win.

Pakistan were ruled to be just one over behind the rate, resulting in a 20 per cent fine for skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed and 10 per cent for his 10 teammates.

Pakistan's victory in Nottingham, just days after they were thrashed by the West Indies at the same venue, came as a great surprise, particularly after they were comfortably beaten by England in their five-match ODI series that preceded the World Cup.

Pakistan's next match is against Sri Lanka in Bristol on Friday, while England will take on Bangladesh in Cardiff 24 hours later.
