The Next Gen: Jake Carder (Western Australia)

It’s fair to say that Carder would be in the top five per cent of this group by sheer weight of numbers. Having scored centuries in the National Championships and the Toyota Futures League (and big ones at that; scores of 161 and 182) Carder has been on the radar for a little while and his inclusion in the CA XI saw him score 58 against the touring West Indian side, taking a liking in particular to Jason Holder.
