Constant showers in Adelaide forced the game between the Hobart Hurricanes and Adelaide Strikers at Glenelg Oval to be washed out

Rebel WBBL|02, Match 22

Persistent showers throughout Tuesday saw the Rebel Women’s Big Bash League match between Hobart Hurricanes and Adelaide Strikers at Gliderol Stadium in Glenelg abandoned without a ball being bowled.  While rain eased enough at one point, a return of the showers ended any hopes of play, with each team awarded one point under the WBBL|02 rules.

Both teams had registered three wins from six games in the tournament thus far and sit in the top four on the points table. The Hurricanes will be in action again against the Sydney Sixers, whiile the Strikers will be looking to continue on their winning way by taking on the Scorchers in Adelaide on New years evening.
