The Prodigy delivers...again! After receiving endorsements from none other than former Australian captains Michael Clarke and Ricky Ponting, it's fair to say there was a reasonable amount of expectation on 17-year-old Nepalese leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane's shoulders ahead of his maiden IPL campaign. However if the trailblazing youngster was nervous, he showed no signs of it in just his second match after taking home figures of 1-21 to help strangle CSK's star-studded batting line-up, including the big wicket of Suresh Raina after he misjudged a full-length googly and flicked it down the throat of the square leg fieldsman. The performance followed on from an equally impressive debut just under a week ago, in which Lamichhane held his nerve against the likes of  a rampant Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers to take 1-25 from his four overs and vindicate the faith placed in him by some of Australia's greatest players. With the eyes of a developing cricket-mad nation on him back home, the young star seems to not only have the talent, but also the temperament to match so far.

The Cameo: He's in the team for his bowling, but Harshal Patel provided a much-needed sting in the tail for Delhi after belting three sixes off the final over to give Delhi a welcome boost to their total. Coming in to bat at 5-97 in the 15th over, the right-arm seamer combined with Vijay Shankar to revive Delhi's innings with an unbeaten 65-run partnership at the death that ultimately turned the match in the hosts' favour. He took a particular liking to one of the most renowned death bowlers in T20 cricket in DJ Bravo as well; smashing 27 runs from just seven deliveries to help claw Delhi to a defendable 162.

The scenario: A good win for the Daredevils, but ultimately it wasn't for anything more than pride at this stage of the tournament. With four wins and nine losses, Delhi remained anchored to the bottom of the table, where they'll finish even if they manage to win their final game against Mumbai on Sunday. Meanwhile the loss hasn't cost Chennai anything except momentum after having already sewn up a top-two finish. However with only one match to get their groove back before finals, the Super Kings will be eager to put together a more convincing performance against Kings XI Punjab in their final match on Sunday in Pune.
