Siddle, Henriques star in Tigers win

Aussie duo dominate with ball and bat to help deliver Montreal their first win of the tournament

Australians Moises Henriques and Peter Siddle have starred to guide their Montreal side to victory in the Canadian T20 league in Toronto.

Fast bowler Siddle continued his rise as a quality T20 bowler, taking 4-13 on a wearing pitch at the Maple Leaf Cricket Club as the Tigers beat the Edmonton Royals by 15 runs.

Siddle took two return catches in as many balls, the second a brilliant one-handed grab to dismiss South African Farhaan Behardien, to find himself on a hat-trick.

The Victorian was considered a long-form specialist as recently as 12 months ago but has emerged as a genuine force in 20-over cricket as well.

Having played a starring role in Adelaide's KFC BBL title win last Australian summer, the right-armer has picked up eight wickets in four games so for for Montreal, albeit at a relatively expensive economy rate of 8.82 runs an over.

Roach the destroyer as Tigers rolled for 43

He will add to his T20 experience later this month when he returns to England to represent Essex in the T20 Blast competition.

Siddle's performance with the ball came after Henriques shone with the bat in a low-scoring match.

The right-hander scored 50 from 49 balls, including five fours and a six, and was the only batsman in the match to score more than 24 runs.

The Aussie duo guided Montreal to their first win of the tournament ahead of their clash against Steve Smith's Toronto side next week.
