'Unfinished business' motivating Moises

Allrounder to return to Surrey, two years after a suffering a serious injury during a T20 match

Aussie allrounder Moises Henriques will return to English county side Surrey two years after his first stint at the county was prematurely ended after only three appearances due to a serious jaw injury.

Henriques, whose NSW Blues missed out on a place in the Sheffield Shield final by just six runs a fortnight ago, broke his jaw in three places at his last county appearance after an accidental collision with teammate Rory Burns in a T20 game against Sussex.

But the 30-year-old, who has played four Tests, eight one-day and nine T20 internationals for Australia, made a full recovery and has admitted he has "unfinished business" with the county.

The allrounder will again play in the domestic T20 competition, providing cover while former Sri Lanka batsman Kumar Sangakkara competes in the Caribbean Premier League.

"I'm really happy to be returning to Surrey, a great club where I really enjoyed myself in 2015," he told the club's official website.

"As well as feeling like I've got a bit of unfinished business, the T20 Blast is well established as one of the top T20 competitions in the world and I'm really looking forward to playing against some of the world's best cricketers in front of sold out London crowds."

Henriques hammers crucial half-century

Henriques will link-up with compatriot Aaron Finch, who will be available for the entirety of the competition, while Surrey further swelled their batting ranks earlier this month by re-signing Kevin Pietersen.

"It's great to have Moises back at Surrey after his injury in 2015," Surrey director of cricket Alec Stewart said.

"As well as being a quality individual, he has great T20 experience from all around the world and will add plenty of balance to our side."

Henriques, the NSW skipper, made 50 and 66 in his last Shield match for the Blues.

He also guided the Sydney Sixers to the final of BBL|06 and was part of an IPL-title winning campaign with the Sunrisers Hyderabad last year.
