Victoria have made one change for the Sheffield Shield final against South Australia, recalling leg-spinner Fawad Ahmed.

He replaces paceman Jackson Coleman, who was 12th man for the weekend's innings win over Queensland in Brisbane.

The Bushrangers will host SA from Sunday in Alice Springs.

Ahmed played his first Shield game of the season earlier this month when he took five wickets in Alice Springs as Victoria beat WA by eight wickets.

Victoria are the two-time defending Shield champions, while SA hosted last season's final.

"It's an amazing achievement to be involved in a third straight Sheffield Shield final, and it's also a golden opportunity to make history as the first Victorian side to go back-to-back-to-back," said chairman of selectors Andrew Lynch.
