The Next Gen: Xavier Bartlett (Queensland)

A direct beneficiary of the revamped Australian Cricket Pathway, Bartlett has been identified as a quality fast bowler in the making. While it’s unlikely the 17-year-old will be contracted right now, his pace and bounce and nous with the new ball will come in handy when the Queenslander fully develops. His inclusion in the Cricket Australia XI for the under 19s meant selectors see the future in the young quick.
