A former AFL draft hopeful, Clint Hinchliffe was one of four new rookies in Western Australia’s 2016-17 squad.
The allrounder returned 320 runs and 17 wickets for Joondalup Districts in Western Australian Premier Cricket in 2015-16.
Hinchliffe was named ‘Player of the Championships’ for the under-19 national carnival in 2016, joining the likes of Adam Gilchrist, Usman Khawaja and Travis Head. He hammered 446 runs at 55.75 and collected 10 wickets at 17.5 to claim the award.
Young gun Clint Hinchliffe carried on from his strong JLT Cup campaign with a solid knock against an international-calibre England attack for the WA XI.
The best of domestic cricket's rising talent is out to put their names in lights and prove a few points this summer
