An alumni of Loughborough University, Georgia Elwiss also captained the Loughborough Lightning for four seasons of the Women's Cricket Super League.

The allrounder made her ODI and T20I debuts during the 2011 tour of South Africa. However, it was during the 2012 series against India when she announced herself on the global stage, winning the Player of the Series award for her tally of six wickets at an economy rate of 1.93.

Elwiss' Test debut came four years later against Australia in 2015. In just her second Test, two years later, she was involved in a vital 117-run stand with Heather Knight, contributing 41 off 190 balls to deny Australia victory.

Elwiss has also made her mark in Australia, having represented the ACT Meteors in the 2010/11 season as well as the Melbourne Stars in the 3rd and 4th editions of the WBBL.
