Player Story

A left-handed batsman from Canberra, John Rogers earned a rookie contract with Tasmania in 2008 having scored 98 for an ACT Invitational XI against the touring Indians earlier that year.

He didn’t debut for the Tigers until 2010, dismissed second ball in his first Sheffield Shield match and first ball in his Ryobi Cup debut, and after limited opportunities, moved to Western Australia in 2012.

He scored 89 against Queensland in February 2013 before scoring 95 against Victoria later that year.
