Lendl Simmons made his mark on cricket at a young age. The opening-batsman represented West Indies in the 2002 and 2004 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup's, and his first-class debut came when he was 17.

He received his one-day international cap in 2006 as a 21-year-old and played a handful of matches before dropping out of the side.

Simmons has played eight Tests, more than 60 ODIs and more than 40 T20Is.
