Liam Livingstone was given the opportunity in all formats by Lancashire coach Ashley Giles which he accepted with both hands. Livingstone topped Lancashire's Championship runs and belted his maiden Championship hundred against Somerset in Taunton.

His good T20 form for Lancashire led to and international debut for England against South Africa in Taunton, where he made 16 from 18 deliveries.
