Towering quick Mohammad Irfan, who stands 216cm (7ft1), broke into the Pakistan one-day international team in September 2010 and has since played more than 30 ODIs.

Hailing from rural Pakistan, Irfan at one point quit cricket and sought full-time work in a pipe factory while paying club cricket, before being summoned to the National Cricket Academy.

His first-class debut followed in 2009 before his international debut one year later.

Irfan’s early one-day career featured sporadic appearances for Pakistan, but the quick has been a regular member of the team since early 2013.

His best ODI performance to date came March 2013 against South Africa when Irfan took 4-33 and the left-armer will be pushing to make his first ICC Cricket World Cup appearance in 2015.
