Player Story

A promising wicketkeeper-batman, Niroshan Dickwella made his way into the Sri Lanka A team in 2013 after an excellent school cricket career.

Dickwella won the Sri Lanka schoolboy cricketer of the year award in 2012 after leading Trinity College to the championship.

Since making his first-class debut in early 2013 the left-handed batsman has become a fixture in the Sri Lanka A team and was rewarded with his first Test cap against South Africa in June 2014. Dickwella immediately impressed, scoring 72 on debut. 

His one-day international debut came against India in November 2014 and has made two centuries from 19 appearances.
