Bio
Ryan McLaren made his one-day debut in 2009 and has been solid performer in his 54-match career.
The big quick has also proved handy with the bat in the lower-order for the Proteas. He has a ODI high-score of 71-not-out.
He suffered a hairline fracture in his forearm after being struck by Australian paceman Mitchell Johnson during the one-day tri-series in Zimbabwe in September, forcing him out of the remainder of the series. Earlier in the year, McLaren was left bleeding from the ear after being hit in the side of the helmet by another Johnson thunderbolt.
McLaren has also played two Tests and 12 T20I's for the Proteas.
