Bio

Emerging off-spinner Sam Grimwade made headlines while playing for a Cricket Australia XI team against India in November 2014, when he captured the prize wicket of Ajinkya Rahane on the day the then-16-year-old was supposed to be sitting his Year 11 English and Politics exams.

Grimwade was also part of an under-19s tour to Sri Lanka in September 2014, where he continued to hone his skills and was named player of the series, just four months after undergoing surgery on his bowling arm.

He was rewarded with a rookie contract with the Victorian Bushrangers for the 2016-17 season.
