Bio

Sam Heazlett made a name for himself immediately upon his promotion to first-class cricket, scoring 129 and 78 on debut against Tasmania in 2015-16.

Heazlett went on to post 649 runs at 40.56 for the Shield summer, the third-best debut season for a Queensland batsman behind Matthew Hayden and England import Graeme Hick.

Surprisingly to some, Heazlett was called up to the ODI side to play New Zealand in 2017 after just six list-A appearances.
