Taylah Brotherston made her WNCL and WT20 debuts for the Queensland Fire in 2013-14.
A batting allrounder, she showed plenty of promise at her first national carnival in under-15s, hammering a half-century against heavyweights NSW and later represented Queensland at Under 18 level.
Her progress has been hampered a knee reconstruction but the selectors are hoping she will blossom in the professional surrounds of the Fire squad.
