A fast bowler from Marondera, Tinashe Panyangara made his potential clear at the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2003-04, when he tore through Australia claiming 6-31 and propelling Zimbabwe to victory.
His international debut followed in 2004 and Panyangara has since played more than 35 one-day internationals, including two matches at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.
Panyangara’s ODI career includes best figures of 3-28, taken against Pakistan in 2004, while his nine-match Test career includes one five-wicket haul taken against Bangladesh in October 2014.
His recent form with the ball will help bolster the quick’s confidence heading into the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
