Victoria Metro captain Will Pucovski broke a 22-year record and eclipsed the likes of Ricky Ponting after he went on a run-scoring rampage at the Under-19 National Championships in Adelaide in 2016. The 18-year-old managed 69 off 87 balls to bring his tournament tally to 609 runs at 203.

Pucovski made his first-class debut after that where he made 28 against New South Wales in Melbourne.

He received a full contract with the Bushrangers for the 2016-17 domestic season.
