Australia reveal new 2017-18 uniforms

Cricket Australia and ASICS have today unveiled their new-look men’s and women’s uniforms for the 2017-18 international season.

Australia stars David Warner, Glenn Maxwell, Nathan Lyon, Peter Handscomb and Josh Hazlewood were all on hand in Sydney to show off the new strips, which they’ll be wearing when Australia take on England across all three formats this summer – starting with the Magellan Ashes from November 23.

Once again, the one-day international shirts for both the men and women will feature a predominately gold playing kit – a look that’s been a feature of home uniforms since the gold was brought back for the 2015 Cricket World Cup.

The men’s T20 International uniform has also been revamped – the black that has been a feature of Australia’s 20-over kit remains, but with a new-look green and gold shades on the front of the shirt.

Australia’s women will wear their gold uniforms in all six limited overs matches throughout the multi-format Commonwealth Bank Women’s Ashes, switching the coloured clothes for traditional whites when they take on England in the first-ever women’s day-night Test at North Sydney Oval from November 9.

And for the first time, fans can support the Southern Stars by purchasing the Australian Women’s limited-overs playing shirt, with the uniforms on sale now ahead of Sunday’s opening Ashes ODI at Brisbane’s Allan Border Field.
