Christian handed fine

Cricket Australia (CA) advises that Daniel Christian has received a fine, equal to 35 per cent of his match fee, for breaching the CA Code of Behaviour on day three of Victoria’s Bupa Sheffield Shield match against Queensland at the Gabba.

Christian was reported by the umpires for breaching Article 2.1.3 – Showing dissent at an umpire’s decision during a match.

The incident occurred after Christian was dismissed whilst batting in Victoria’s first innings.

Christian accepted the proposed penalty by Match Referee Daryl Harper.  A Code of Behaviour hearing was not required.

This was Christian’s first offence under this Article of the Code of Behaviour in the past 18 months.
