The race is on for the coveted position that has stolen the show in recent seasons
Who will be Brisbane's next 'super sub'?
With 12th man Peter Siddle set to play for Victoria in the Sheffield Shield this week, Australia are on the lookout for their newest 'super sub' for the first Test of the summer.
Two years ago former Brisbane Heat batsman and substitute fielder Chris Sabburg stole headlines when he snared Kevin Pietersen running in from fine-leg in the first Test of the 2013-14 Ashes.

Last summer Queensland's Marnus Labuschagne pulled off a stunning catch at short leg to dismiss India's Varun Aaron having honed his skills snatching diced corn off the kitchen bench.

This year, five men have been shortlisted to fill the substitute fielder role, led by Sabburg, who will be hoping to repeat his efforts against New Zealand starting Thursday.
Australia T20 spinner Cameron Boyce will be a strong chance after the leggie was omitted from the Queensland Bulls Shield squad to face Tasmania in Hobart.
Boyce isn't the only leggie in the race, with boom wrist-spinner Mitch Swepson in contention.
Swepson impressed with the Cricket Australia XI in the Matador BBQs One-Day Cup last month, taking four wickets in five games and earning selection in the CA XI side for a three-day tour match against the Black Caps in Blacktown last week. Unfortunately for Swepson, the match was abandoned before he had a chance to show his wares.

Young gun Aryan Jain, a talented left-handed top-order batsman who has featured in Queensland's pathway program, is in the final five.
But in what could be deemed as Australian cricket blasphemy, England-born Queensland batsman Charlie Hemphrey could be the shock selection.
Hailing form Yorkshire, Hemphrey made his first-class debut for the Bulls late last season, scoring 118 against South Australia in the last match of the summer.
While all five men will likely feature at some stage throughout the match, running drinks, swapping gloves and fielding when necessary, it might be an Englishman who could be the first Test's 'super sub' only three months after the Ashes defeat on foreign soil.
