Bio

Greg Moller made his return to the Queensland line-up after a four year hiatus from the game.

The opening batsman actually made his debut back in 2007, but a lean 18 months saw him lose his state contract until early 2013.

The mature opener struggled to make an impact throughout the early part of his career, which was reflected by an average in the mid 20’s.

After being dropped from the squad, Moller was forced to knuckle down in the Brisbane grade competition.

With nearly 1,000 runs in the early stages of the 2012/13 season, Moller virtually forced his way back into the team.

An impressive 39 in the Ryobi Cup was followed by his best performance for the Bulls.

In a well beaten side, Moller starred for Queensland, hitting 44 and 120 against the Warriors. It remains his only three figure score in the competition.

Moller made plenty of starts after that, but didn’t pass 50 for the rest of the season. His only real contribution was a fighting 26 in the rain affected Ryobi Cup final against the Bushrangers.

The opener had a disappointing Sheffield Shield final, making 0 and 13 against the Tigers.

With his average hovering around 20 in both forms of the game, the 30 year old will have a battle on his hands to retain his spot for the upcoming season.
