Bio

A highly regarded Youth cricketer, Kara Sutherland is slowly starting to establish herself at the next level.

After bursting on the scene in 2010-11 with a Player of the Match performance against Tasmania in the WT20, Sutherland is developing into a useful all-rounder, combining her sharp left arm pace bowling with some valuable contributions in the middle and lower order.

As she gains more experience, Sutherland is becoming more consistent.

Originally from Ballina on the State’s North Coast, Sutherland is part of a talented sporting family with her cousin, Mitchell Aubusson, winning a NRL premiership with the Sydney Roosters in 2013.

Sutherland moved to the Queensland Fire for the 2015-16, seeking more opportunities as she pushed to break into the Southern Stars team.
